Two losses and a few close calls created a shift in the latest USA TODAY HSS Super football rankings. While the top teams held firm, it’s a new-look bottom half as the gridiron action heads toward this Friday \u2014 where a few major matchups await.<\/p>\n

The methodology: the HSS staff creates the Super 25 rankings<\/a> while considering various data points, including strength of schedule, prospects, the more traditional stats\u2014did the team win or lose?\u2014as well as overall point differentials.<\/p>\n
