The Wallabies<\/a> have suffered another cruel blow with two stars ruled out of the rest of the Rugby World Cup<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A media release early Thursday morning (AEDT) confirmed both Nick Frost and Carter Gordon will be unable to play any further part in the tournament, even if Australia miraculously makes it to the quarter-finals.<\/p>\n

Frost injured a knee during Monday's 20-point win over Portugal<\/a>, while Gordon also injured a knee while training last week.<\/p>\n

Gordon is flying home to Australia to begin rehab immediately.<\/p>\n

"Nick showed great courage to play through significant discomfort against Portugal, while Carter has earned valuable experience during his first year as a Test player.<\/p>\n

"We wish both of them a quick and successful recovery and to watching them continue to improve during Super Rugby Pacific next year."<\/p>\n
