Brisbane<\/a> midfielder Deven Robertson created quite a stir a few weeks ago when the 22-year-old played topless for several minutes during the Lions' round 23 win against the Magpies<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Robertson refused to come off for a new guernsey after his was ripped from his torso in a tackle. He played with his torso on show for several minutes before a Lions trainer was able to run onto the field with a replacement.<\/p>\n

The two sides will meet again \ufeffin Saturday's premiership decider<\/a> with both teams on Friday fronting the grand final parade around Melbourne Park.<\/p>\n

Following the torn shirt incident, almost overnight Robertson's number of followers on Instagram surged from just shy of 11,000 to more than 70,000, turning him into a social media sensation.<\/p>\n

As Robertson and teammate Callum Ah Chee\ufeff came past with the motorcade, vocal Pies supporters called out for Robertson to keep his shirt on.<\/p>\n

"Fair to say you didn't rush it back on, did you?," Alastair Lynch asked Robertson for Fox Footy.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffCal [Ah Chee] and I tried counting how many times we heard a comment about my shirt," Robertson replied.<\/p>\n

"We gave up at about 50 [comments], two metres in\ufeff."<\/p>\n

"I think\ufeff you're going to get a few more," Lynch said.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe jibes continued as Ah Chee was quizzed whether the guernsey remained off for too long.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI'll be surprised if it stays on today. We'll see how it goes," he said.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the Lions' impending shot at premiership glory, Robertson was excited by the build up.<\/p>\n

"It's been \ufeffsurreal," he said.<\/p>\n

"Once we got into Melbourne [on Thursday] it all started sinking in a little bit. Being in the [ute] tray at the moment is pretty cool and something that I've dreamed of for a long time so it's pretty cool."<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
