T\ufeffhere was drama well before a single vote was announced at the Brownlow Medal<\/a>, with the red carpet proving to be a hazard for guests.<\/p>\n

The glamorous entrance is always a highlight of the AFL<\/a> ceremony, but forced the league to rush into action on Monday night.<\/p>\n

Due to the carpet being placed over a speed bump outside Melbourne's Crown Palladium, a number of guests stumbled on the way into the venue.<\/p>\n

Brisbane Lions great Jason Akermanis<\/a>' daughter even took a tumble, while Collingwood icon Nathan Buckley<\/a> came close to losing his footing.<\/p>\n

\ufeffCollingwood star Nick Daicos is the favourite to take out this year's Brownlow, with Western Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli and Port Adelaide star Zak Butters the other contenders.<\/p>\n
