Dally M<\/a> favourite Shaun Johnson<\/a> has offered an apology to his club's supporters after the Warriors' disappointing 42-12 loss<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The halfback led his side to a preliminary final after overcoming a calf injury but couldn't replicate his performance again. Johnson also went off during the first half with a finger complaint but returned to the field immediately with heavy strapping.<\/p>\n

Post-game, the 33-year-old gave plenty of credit to the Broncos after their emphatic performance in attack.<\/p>\n

"(I'm) disappointed, but full credit to the Broncos, they were sharp tonight, I thought they played really fast and I think they're going to go pretty well next week," he told Nine.<\/p>\n

Despite the loss, the halfback was reflective when looking back at his side's season after finishing 15th last year.<\/p>\n

At round 12 when Dally M voting went behind closed doors\ufeff, Johnson sat on 22 points with Payne Haas claiming 30.<\/p>\n

Origin meant the prop has missed games though while Johnson has played his best football late in the season and Queensland great Cameron Smith believes he's a good chance at claiming the award.<\/p>\n

"I think so. He's been so consistent," he said on Nine's coverage.<\/p>\n
