Serena Williams<\/a> has breezed past Serbia's Nina Stojanovic to qualify for the third round of the Australian Open.<\/p>\n

The tenth seed utilised her trademark power to blow Stojanovic off the court, finishing the Serb off with an ace to win 6-3, 6-0.<\/p>\n

Williams broke Germany's Laura Siegemund six times in her comprehensive first round win and was again successful in returning serve, breaking her opponent at will, especially in the second set.<\/p>\n

Stojanovic, 24, held her own during the first set, but the gulf in class deepened as the match wore on as Williams' serve kicked into gear clocking 200km\/h as she posted six aces in a dominant display.<\/p>\n

Even in the final game of the match, in the heat of the hottest day so far this tournament, one of her serves hit 202km\/h.<\/p>\n

Despite falling off in the second set, Stojanovic, playing her first Australian Open<\/a>, showed some fight during the match with her forehand causing some problems for the US star at times.<\/p>\n

"She pushed me very hard she played really well," Williams said in her post-match interview on court. " It's always good to see young players like her coming out and doing so well."<\/p>\n

Williams was philosophical when asked why the second set was such a blow out in comparison to the first.<\/p>\n

"I wasn't thinking so much in the second, I sort of let go and said 'see what happens'," she said.<\/p>\n

Williams takes on unseeded Russian Anastasia Potapova in the third round.<\/p>\n
