S\ufeffAINT-ETIENNE:<\/strong> Eddie Jones<\/a> took full responsibility for Australia's ill disciplined Rugby World Cup loss to Fiji, quipping that he deserved to have "baguettes and croissants" thrown at him.<\/a><\/p>\n

But the man responsible for conceding four of Australia's 18 costly penalties says the players must shoulder the blame and the responsibility for rebounding against Wales on Monday (AEST).<\/p>\n

Fiji halfback Simione Kuruvoli punished the Wallabies with four first-half penalties alone and Australia has now had 11 penalties kicked against it in its last three Tests.<\/p>\n

The Wallabies only had six penalties kicked against them in their first four Tests this year.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffWe can't kick stones too long – we just have to get on with it," Wallabies lock Richie Arnold said.<\/p>\n

"It makes it easier for us next week. We must win and that's it. It comes down to the players. We have to review the game individually and have a look at our own games and it's all down to the players at the end of the day. We've got a good group here and we've got to believe that we can turn it around next week."<\/p>\n

Rugby Australia chairman Hamish McLennan has said \ufeffthe game's issues are systemic and not to be sheeted home to a single coach.<\/p>\n

Dave Rennie was punted as Wallabies coach in January and replaced with Jones but the results have been worse.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Wallabies flanker Fraser McReight was appreciative of Jones putting his hand up for blame.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"I think he's trying to do a good thing and protect his team and his players. We respect that but I don't think it's on him," McReight said.<\/p>\n

"It's on us, we're the ones playing. The whole coaching staff actually prepped us really well. We had a really good week of training to be honest, boys were flying.<\/p>\n
