Collingwood<\/a> has suffered a major blow ahead of its preliminary final with vice-captain and gun midfielder Taylor Adams<\/a> being ruled out due to a hamstring injury.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The All-Australian Magpie suffered a low-grade hamstring strain during Friday's training session, wiping him out of next week's grand final qualifier against either Port Adelaide or Greater Western Sydney.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"It's unfortunate to confirm that Taylor Adams has sustained a low-grade hamstring strain during our training session held yesterday evening," said Collingwood general manager of football Graham Wright.<\/p>\n

"Taylor has been an integral part of our midfield this season, and while it's disappointing for him and the team that he won't be available for the upcoming preliminary final, the positive is that it is only a minor strain.<\/p>\n

"Our medical staff are working closely with Taylor who will immediately commence rehabilitation on his left hamstring."<\/p>\n

Collingwood will face the winner of Saturday's semi-final between Port Adelaide and GWS at Adelaide Oval.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Adams featured in his 200th AFL game as Collingwood beat Port Adelaide\ufeff in round 19.<\/p>\n

His output has waned this season with the\ufeff 29-year-old averaging only 18.43 disposals per game.<\/p>\n

In positive news for Collingwood supporters, signs out of the club this week have pointed to All-Australian defender Darcy Moore\ufeff being available for his side's preliminary final despite suffering a hand issue.<\/p>\n
