Melbourne Storm<\/a> rookie Will Warbrick \ufeffhas left his teammates and legends stunned after his "incredible" match-winning try in the dying moments of his side's elimination final against the Roosters<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With just under a minute remaining, the home side trailed 13-12 before a Cameron Munster<\/a> cross-kick was plucked out of the air by Warbrick who went on to score.<\/p>\n

Nick Meaney converted the try, and then caught the short kick off to seal a 18-13 win<\/a> and set up the Storm with a preliminary final clash against the Panthers at Accor Stadium.<\/p>\n

Post-game\ufeff, Roosters legend Brad Fittler was in awe of the winger's effort. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"W\ufeffhat an incredible finish, it's come down to the most experienced Melbourne Storm player and the most inexperienced," he said on Nine's coverage.<\/p>\n

"Not much was going right for the Melbourne Storm until the 79th minute when Munster the superstar just plucked the perfect kick … what an incredible moment."<\/p>\n

Munster similarly heaped praise on Warbrick while emphasising how much preparation had gone into that moment.<\/p>\n

"I backed myself, Will's obviously really good in the air, we've obviously trained all week and trained all year in these scenarios … we were lucky enough to get the ball back in a good position, and how clutch was Will there in the corner?\ufeff," he said.<\/p>\n

The tryscorer described it as a dream come true.<\/p>\n

The Storm started strong with two unanswered tries as Jahrome \ufeffHughes' replacement Tyran Wishart crossed first before Marion Seve made it 10-0 in the 25th minute.<\/p>\n

Ex-Melbourne cult hero Brandon Smith then put the Roosters on the board to make it \ufeff10-6 at half-time.<\/p>\n

A stunning Sandon Smith pass put prop Lindsay Collins in a massive hole, and the subsequent conversion levelled the scores with just over 10 to play.<\/p>\n

Collins' four-pointer was a moment of redemption, an obstruction call against him moments earlier thwarted what could have been a possible Roosters penalty try.<\/p>\n

Six minutes later, Sam Walker looked as if he might have sealed the win with a field goal.<\/p>\n

Wishart had his own shot \ufeffmoments later but his awful effort hit the head of Tui Kamikamica. The Storm forward then left the field for an HIA the next set after putting his head in an awkward position when tackling.<\/p>\n
