Melbourne<\/a> young gun Kysaiah Pickett faces a nervous wait after a bump on Patrick Cripps<\/a> left the Carlton<\/a> skipper bruised and bloodied.<\/p>\n

During the second quarter of the Blues' two-point semi final win at the MCG, Cripps formed part of a quick handball chain when Pickett collected him high.<\/p>\n

Cripps had disposed of the football when Pickett launched at him late and elected to bump by turning his shoulder.<\/p>\n

Cripps was forced from the ground with blood streaming from his nose, however was not required to \ufeffcomplete a concussion test before returning.<\/p>\n

After being patched up and assessed by Carlton's medical staff, Cripps was able to return to the field.<\/p>\n

The incident came after \ufeffPickett coughed up a shot on goal after a jumper punch to Carlton defender Mitch McGovern reversed a free kick.<\/p>\n

Melbourne champion Garry Lyon\ufeff called on the fiery Demons forward to focus.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffHe's got a real problem on his hands," Gary Lyon told Fox Footy.<\/p>\n

"It's time for him to forget about the try-hard tough acts and put his head over the footy and win some ball."<\/p>\n

"He cost his team a goal early in the piece when they had momentum and you've got to learn from your mistakes in the past. He's in trouble."<\/p>\n

Pickett's hit on Cripps is likely to draw match review officer Michael Christian's attention after he chose to bump, made high contact with his opponent's head and completed an action that had the potential to cause injury.<\/p>\n

In the opening round of the season, \ufeffPickett was handed a two-match ban for a similar bump on Western Bulldogs midfielder Bailey Smith<\/a>.<\/p>\n
