M\ufeffatildas<\/a> superstar Kyra Cooney-Cross has been signed by English football giants Arsenal<\/a> following a stellar World Cup<\/a> campaign.<\/p>\n

It's understood Arsenal paid a transfer fee around $271,000 to acquire the 21-year-old from \ufeffHammarby IF in Sweden.<\/p>\n

Cooney-Cross will wear the No.32 jersey for the Premier League club and joins Australian teammates \ufeffSteph Catley and Caitlin Foord at Arsenal.<\/p>\n

Cooney-Cross was one of the best players for the Matildas during their thrilling World Cup run, where they made it to a semi-final before losing to England.<\/p>\n

She was one of many Australian players to elevate their standing on the international stage with impressive Cup campaigns.<\/p>\n

"Arsenal just felt right as soon as I heard about the interest. I'm really looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere at Emirates Stadium in front of a big crowd for our first game there this season.<\/p>\n

Arsenal coach Jonas Eidevall\ufeff is keen to begin working with the Australian youngster.<\/p>\n
