D\ufeffragons<\/a> captain Ben Hunt<\/a> has confirmed his future lies at the club while outlining the type of players he wants to see recruited by new coach Shane Flanagan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hunt has previously requested a release from his contract<\/a> after the departure of Anthony Griffin but confirmed he won't be going anywhere in the short-term.<\/p>\n

"I'll be at the Dragons, I've had a few conversations with Flanno and that's where I'll be … we've got a good relationship, myself and Flanno, for a while now, I think he'll do a good job for the club," he said at the Prime Minister's XIII camp.<\/p>\n

The halfback confirmed he's had several meetings with Flanagan since his appointment was announced and will have another one in the coming days to discuss the season's plans.<\/p>\n

However, while admitting his future does belong at the Dragons, Hunt admitted his attitude around staying hasn't changed much. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"\ufeffNah I wouldn't say it's improved drastically, I've sort of put it all behind me really, and accepted that I'm going to be there," he said.<\/p>\n

"But I guess if I really think about it, it hasn't changed a lot but that's just where I'm going to be there next year."<\/p>\n

One of the reported grievances behind Hunt's request was a \ufeffbroken promise over recruitment decisions.<\/p>\n

Since Flanagan's arrival, the Dragons have become aggressive in the market with Hame Sele and Kyle Flanagan signing with the club. \ufeff<\/p>\n

When asked if those deals are a step in the right direction, Hunt was full of praise while identifying the exact type of players he wants joining the club.<\/p>\n

"Yeah I think players to me that'll come in with the right attitude and help the culture of the place, for sure," he said.<\/p>\n

"I played with Hame when he was a bit younger, I think he had a really good attitude, he trains hard and knows what it's like to be a first grader and I think that's what we need in there. Genuine, hard trainers that want to come in and do what's best for the team and I think those two guys are two that'll do that."<\/p>\n

Asked further \ufeffwhether better trainers and a harder work ethic is what he wants to see from the Dragons players, Hunt agreed.<\/p>\n

"There's a number of things (but) yeah \ufeffI just want players that really want to be there, that train hard and do all the little things," he said.<\/p>\n

The captain implied the new coach could be the man to get that out of his side, outlining how he believes the Sharks premiership winner will coach. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"I only had him as an assistant so I'm not 100 per cent sure, I think he'll just be a hard nosed, straight down the line type of guy …. if you're not toing the line or doing as you're asked he'll get you out and get someone else that will," he said.<\/p>\n
