S\ufeffAINT-ETIENNE:<\/strong> Former Wallabies back Morgan Turinui believes Rugby World Cup<\/a> players are deliberately taking advantage of a rules loophole as World Rugby continues its struggle in providing a safe yet attractive product to viewers.<\/p>\n

Stan Sport trio Sean Maloney, Morgan Turinui and Andrew Mehrtens agreed that Fiji were hard done by in on Between Two Posts<\/em>.<\/p>\n

"Vinaya Habosi gets nailed for a really key penalty when the Welsh attacker (Liam Williams) jumps into the air, in to his shoulders and he gets done for no arms in the tackle. He's not even trying to make the tackle, the bloke's jumping onto his shoulders.<\/p>\n

"And then Wales get the penalty, Wales score a try, score again on the other side of that and then that's them cooked.<\/p>\n

"It takes the Fijians all sorts of energy to get back in the fight and it was just so wrong."<\/p>\n

Turinui agreed and went as far as to say players were "jumping in the air deliberately because they know they can't be tackled high.<\/p>\n

"They're jumping in the air to make sure they can't be touched," the former Wallabies back said.<\/p>\n

\ufeffMehrtens, known for his frustrations with officials, joked that his lawyers had told him not to comment.<\/p>\n

Pressed, he couldn't help himself.<\/p>\n

"I just find there's just no common sense in some of these things," the All Blacks great said, adding that he was confused by the red card to England flanker Tom Curry as well.<\/a><\/p>\n

"Really couldn't have done anything else," Mehrtens said.<\/p>\n

"Super slow mo, that's all they're watching. They're not watching it in real time. It doesn't seem like they are and they're not going well.<\/p>\n
