Injured Panthers<\/a> five-eighth Jarome Luai<\/a> has given an insight into his recovery after dislocating his shoulder late in the regular season<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ahead of his side's qualifying final clash with the Warriors, the Origin star revealed he would return to the fold next week if the Panthers lose on Saturday.<\/p>\n

"If the boys need me next week, I will be back," he told Brad Fittler on Nine's coverage.<\/p>\n

"So hopefully they don't and we have the week off, god willing."<\/p>\n

Luai was injured in the Panthers' loss to the Eels in round 26.<\/p>\n

He said he knew straight away something was wrong.<\/p>\n

"I knew straight away it (had) popped out. I've never had that feeling before. I knew something was wrong," he explained.<\/p>\n

"It took them about three minutes to pop back in, so that was a good sign for myself and I got the scan the next day, it was very good news, probably the best I could have gotten.<\/p>\n

"There were no fractures, no breaks with the bone structure itself. So just some tendon damage and some ligaments."<\/p>\n

Luai said he was "the worst" when watching games from the sideline.<\/p>\n

"I spoke to (Ivan Cleary) just before we came out, and he asked how I was feeling, I told him I was feeling jealous," he said.<\/p>\n

"This is what you want to play – four o'clock, Saturday, sunny, not a cloud in the sky. So definitely jealous."<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Warriors half and Dally M favourite Shaun Johnson<\/a> also spoke about his injury after he was a late withdrawal due to calf soreness. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Should they be playing, Johnson is "touch and go" to line up for the Warriors next week.<\/p>\n

"It's a bit frustrating, I'll be honest, but it's one of those things you can't control it sometimes," he said on Nine's coverage.<\/p>\n

"It felt really good heading into the week but didn't quite get through it."<\/p>\n
