Carlton<\/a> small forward Jack Martin has landed himself in hot water and could face MRO scrutiny after high contact on Sydney<\/a>'s Nick Blakey in the first quarter of their elimination final on Friday night.<\/p>\n

Martin appeared to charge at Blakey with a swinging right arm, appearing to make contact with the Swan's head as he attempted to get rid of the ball, with the contact impacting him late.<\/p>\n

It sent shockwaves through the MCG, with Channel 7 commentator Brian Taylor expressing immediate concern for Blakey.<\/p>\n

"I can see why he's slow to get to his feet, copped one around the mush, mouth guard spat out," Taylor said on Channel 7.<\/p>\n

"I thought for a moment there might be a tooth in it as well."<\/p>\n

Blakey left the field immediately following the clash with Martin but returned after passing a 15-minute HIA test.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Carlton had a red hot start\ufeff, booting the first two goals of the game, taking a 29 point lead into half time.<\/p>\n
