Caroline Wilson<\/a> has grilled new Gold Coast Suns<\/a> coach Damien Hardwick\ufeff<\/a>'s "disrespectful" behaviour towards Richmond after his "generous" exit from the club back in May.<\/p>\n

Hardwick signed a monster five-year deal with the Suns<\/a> despite stepping down as Tigers' coach<\/a>, citing a "burnout" mid-season.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffSome of Hardwick's recent behaviour has not sat well with Richmond people," Wilson said on Nine's Footy Classified<\/em> on Monday night.<\/p>\n

"Disrespectful, Damien\ufeff. And you didn't even rule out having a crack at Dusty (Dustin Martin) either<\/a>.<\/p>\n

"Surely you owe the Tigers a bit more than that after they released you pretty generously, one and a half years early from a lucrative contract."<\/p>\n

Hardwick spoke openly at the Suns' press conference announcing him as their new coach at the end of August, likening his new playing list as a "set of brand new toys".<\/p>\n

"I'm waking up on Christmas Day to a set of brand new toys\ufeff," Hardwick said in the press conference.<\/p>\n

\"Suns<\/p>\n

"I've got a great new bunch of toys that I'm really looking forward to working with.\ufeff"<\/p>\n

But the comments didn't sit well with Wilson, who took them as a stab at the playing group he left behind at Richmond.<\/p>\n

"I think it was this comment that was a bit too much for some Tigers," Wilson said.<\/p>\n

"A three time premiership coach earns you a lot of meal tickets … but I think when Richmond people saw the comment about 'Christmas Day' and 'all the toys' … I think that was a little bit too much.<\/p>\n

\"Damien<\/p>\n

"I think Richmond should remain a no-go-zone."<\/p>\n

Despite Wilson grilling Hardwick's inconsiderate behaviour, Essendon great Matthew Lloyd applauded the new Gold Coast coach's forward approach in attempt to sell the club and its dream.<\/p>\n

"I think when you've got 30 or 40 players standing behind, in a way it's selling yourself to them and telling them … that they can be the next premiership players," Lloyd said on Monday night.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Richmond people should just move on. It's a good thing that he's moved on, so they can move on as well."<\/p>\n

It comes as Wilson expressed her worry towards the future of Richmond champion Dustin Martin at Punt Road, who may be considering a move in the off season after a mass exodus.<\/p>\n

\"Dustin<\/p>\n

"I still in my heart believe and Richmond people at the club believe that he does want to play 300 games for Richmond and no one else\ufeff," Wilson said.<\/p>\n

"(But) he is a bit disenchanted at the moment, all his close mates have left, he's just farewelled Trent Cotchin, his major on field mentor and his other favourite Jack Riewoldt and he doesn't know who's going to be coaching him next year\ufeff.<\/p>\n

"He hasn't quite made up his mind. Other clubs still believe there is a conversation to be had and the Sydney Swans are one of them.\ufeff"<\/p>\n
