The Spanish football federation has announced they will commence legal action against veteran striker Jenni Hermoso for her comments about its president Luis Rubiales.<\/a><\/p>\n

In a statement, Hermoso refuted Rubiales claims the kiss he gave her during the FIFA Women's World Cup<\/a> presentation ceremony in Sydney last Sunday night was consensual.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rubiales claims Hermoso lifted him up in celebration, and then said OK when he asked her if he could give her "a little peck".<\/p>\n

"It was a spontaneous kiss. Mutual, euphoric and consensual. That's the key. A consensual 'peck' is enough to get me out of here?," Rubiales said of the kiss during the week.<\/p>\n

But in two separate statements \u2013 one on social media and the other through the Spanish football players association, FUTPRO \u2013 Hermoso labelled his claims "categorically false and part of the manipulative culture that he has generated".<\/p>\n

Now, the Federation has responded once again, saying evidence supporting Rubiales version of events was "conclusive".<\/p>\n

"Mr President has not lied," the federation said in a fresh statement.<\/p>\n

\u00a0"The RFEF and Mr President will demonstrate each of the lies that are spread either by someone on behalf of the player or, if applicable, by the player herself.<\/p>\n

"The RFEF and the President, given the seriousness of the content of the press release from the Futpro union, will initiate the corresponding legal actions."<\/p>\n

Rubiales has repeatedly refused to resign from his position, and now 81 women eligible for selection for La Roja have ruled themselves out until he either resigns or is sacked.<\/p>\n
