Rugby league icon Phil Gould<\/a> has labelled Jordan Rapana<\/a> \ufeffa "marked man" after the fullback was sin binned for an alleged trip against the Broncos<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After Selwyn Cobbo managed to evade Rapana and score, the Bunker picked up the incident just before Kotoni Staggs' goal-kick attempt. \ufeff<\/p>\n

The sin bin came with the Broncos leading 20-18<\/a> at the 63rd minute and proved pivotal with Brisbane putting on another nine points.<\/p>\n

After repeating his trademark "wow", Gould thought previous incidents had an impact on the decision. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"He had a couple \ufeffof these a couple of weeks ago, and they didn't do anything about it so he's obviously a marked man with this but that's rather a lame sin bin," he said on Nine's coverage.<\/p>\n

Andrew Johns also made a prediction around the sin bin's impact, which came to fruition. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"The sin bin has so much affect on the result of the game, mark it down \ufeff63rd minute, watch the Broncos win in the next 10 minutes," he said on the Nine broadcast.<\/p>\n

Post-game, Johns described it as a "lazy leg" \ufeffbut "reactionary", while Gould doubled down on his earlier lame sin bin call.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffThat was such an innocuous one, it's not worth time in the sin bin, let alone time in the sin bin in such a crucial game like this … We sin bin them too easily, we don't want players off the field, and for that? Please," he said.<\/p>\n

"That's not a sin bin … there may be trips that are sin bins but just because it's a trip doesn't mean you have to treat them all the same."<\/p>\n

It marked a frustrating final 15 minutes for the Raiders, with \ufeffcoach Ricky Stuart at one point yelling at a camera operator.<\/p>\n

The Broncos started strong with Cobbo scoring inside \ufeffthe first five minutes with Matt Frawley hitting back later to give Canberra a 6-4 lead.<\/p>\n

Both sides continued to go try for try in the first half as Kotoni Staggs, Nick Cotric, Ezra Mam and Hudson Young all scored to make it 16-all at half-time.<\/p>\n

A penalty goal from Raiders halfback Jamal Fogarty put the side ahead for the first 20 minutes of the second half before Cobbo went over and Rapana was binned.<\/p>\n
