Tim Tszyu<\/a> has hinted at who will be his next opponent after he was handed the \ufeffWBO super welterweight world champion title<\/a> following Jermell Charlo's decision to fight Canelo Alvarez<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tszyu's last fight was in June against Carlos Ocampo<\/a>, accounting for the Mexican with ease via a first-round knockout.<\/p>\n

When asked about links \ufeffto American Brian Mendoza, Tszyu seemed to indicate he will be the man he fights next.<\/p>\n

"We're the two top boys in the division … a fight like that is definitely something that excites me, something that brings boxing fans to watch, hopefully that's the name," he told Main Event during his brother Nikita's fight<\/a>.<\/p>\n

"He would definitely be my toughest test to date, every fight from now on is my toughest test to date … it's not going to be one round boilovers like the fight with Carlos Ocampo."\ufeff<\/p>\n

No Limit Boxing has called a press conference for midday on Thursday where Tszyu is expected to confirm Mendoza as his next fight.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Tszyu had previously been intent on fighting Charlo next, however the American's decision to move up a weight division and fight Alvarez has cancelled all hope in the short term.<\/p>\n

Both men will battle in a Las Vegas super fight in September.<\/p>\n

Tszyu confirmed he will be ringside for the event and added he still has the intention to take on Charlo.<\/p>\n

"That bloke needs to fight me, and I need to fight him," he said.<\/p>\n
