Stand-in T20I<\/a> and ODI captain Mitch Marsh<\/a> has given an insight into tearaway quick Spencer Johnson as Australia prepares to unleash him against \ufeffSouth Africa.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old has been selected in both squads for Australia's tour of South Africa, as the side prepares for the upcoming ODI World Cup<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Johnson has taken 16 wickets at 29.35 in his 16 T20 games\ufeff, having a breakout BBL tournament with the Brisbane Heat last season following a series of injuries.<\/p>\n

Marsh described the potential debutant as an "incredible talent". \ufeff<\/p>\n

"W\ufeffe haven't seen much of him have we? He's had a few injuries throughout his career and sort of burst onto the scene last year," he told media on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

"I remember commentating a game and \ufeffhe was bowling 150kms and swinging them both ways, so he's an incredible talent.<\/p>\n

"I faced him in the one-day final \ufeffat the WACA and was blown away by his skill and his pace so I think he's going to feel right at home."<\/p>\n

The left-armer is currently playing in The Hundred with Oval Invincibles, having taken five wickets at 25.\ufeff80 with best figures of 3\/1. The side will now play in the competition's final on Monday August 28.<\/p>\n

Johnson will also be joined by two other potential debutants in Tanveer Sangha, Matt Short and Aaron Hardie\ufeff.<\/p>\n

Marsh expressed his excitement at having leg-spinner Sangha in the squad.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"He's got me out a couple of times, with that cheeky little smile which is always hard to take," he laughed.<\/p>\n
