In the second half of the FIFA Women's World Cup final<\/a>, England<\/a>'s Keira Walsh had a moment to forget. <\/p>\n

In contract, her teammate Mary Earps had a moment to remember in a crazy few minutes. <\/p>\n

With her side already 1-0 down, VAR judged Walsh had committed a handball inside the box, gifting Spain a penalty. <\/p>\n

Jennifer Hermoso then stepped up but it was saved by Mary Earps, who had already started diving to her left before the ball was even struck. <\/p>\n

Earps was noticeably pumped up after the save and Stadium Australia matched her enthusiasm. <\/p>\n

"This crowd in Sydney has gone berserk," ex-Matilda Amy Chapman said on Optus Sport. \ufeff<\/p>\n

While there was plenty of praise for Earps, criticism then followed \ufefffor Hermoso with the effort described as "easy pickings". <\/p>\n

"It's not a terribly well taken penalty at all … \ufeffthat's easy pickings really and she'll (Earps) take a massive confidence boost out of that and so will England," Chapman added. <\/p>\n
