The Roosters<\/a> look set to be without skipper and fullback James Tedesco<\/a> for their clash with the Wests Tigers<\/a> next weekend.<\/p>\n

On the hour mark of the Roosters 34-12 win<\/a> over the Eels<\/a> at CommBank Stadium, Tedesco appeared to slip and was collected by Maika Sivo<\/a>'s knee.<\/p>\n

He was immediately groggy and went straight up the players race to the changerooms.<\/p>\n

Sivo was penalised and put on report, but Andrew Johns<\/a> said he didn't think the Eels winger had anything to worry about.<\/p>\n

"There was nothing he could do there. Nothing," he said in commentary for Nine.<\/p>\n

He was initially determined a category two and subject to the standard 15 minute HIA protocol, before it was later upgraded to a category one concussion, ruling him out for 11 days.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the game on Nine's coverage, Luke Keary \u2013 who himself has suffered numerous concussions throughout his career \u2013 said Tedesco was "unlucky".<\/p>\n

"He dipped a bit in the tackle but got clipped. He will be right \u2026 he'll go through the protocols," he said.<\/p>\n

Joey Manu would be his likely replacement.<\/p>\n

"A handy backup, but hopefully Teddy pulls up fine. It's not good seeing anyone get knocked out."<\/p>\n

The Roosters kept their slim finals hopes alive with the 22-point win. They will take on the Tigers at Allianz Stadium next weekend, and then the Rabbitohs at Accor Stadium in the final round.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
