Kody Garland cannot catch a break.<\/p>\n

The Garry Rogers Motorsport driver suffered one of his worst outings in the TCR Australia Series<\/a> to date at Queensland Raceway, battling gremlins all weekend.<\/p>\n

A power steering failure hampered him in race one, finishing eighth in his Peugeot 308.<\/p>\n

Stan Sport is the only place to watch the 2023 SpeedSeries.<\/strong><\/em> All the action streaming ad-free, live and on demand<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Race two wasn't much better with attempts to remedy the issue proving fruitless as it let go again. On that occasion, he finished last of the 13 entries.<\/p>\n

Finally, in race three, the driveshaft blew after lap 16 of 21 and meant he failed to finish.<\/p>\n

He was the last of the four Peugeot entries in all three races.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"It's just incredibly frustrating, I can't do anything differently and the crew have worked tirelessly to try and fix it, but we are still having issues," said Garland.<\/p>\n

"I drove the Renault last year, which had a lot of mechanical problems that ruined the season for me, but it handled well.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"I've driven the Alfa Romeo on a couple of occasions and found good handling with that car too.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"For some reason our particular Peugeot either has an extremely small setup window, or an underlying problem."<\/p>\n

Garland labelled the issue "a mystery" after checks by his team came back with no solution for the repeated issues.<\/p>\n

"The team have looked over the car, nothing has been found, so it's a bit of a mystery at this point," he explained.<\/p>\n

"This weekend just capped off the year we've had so far, with the same power steering issue coming up in all three races and the driveshaft exploding just to really rub the salt in the wound.<\/p>\n

"I know the boys working on the car are as frustrated as I am, and they're not doing anything wrong, it's just one of those things."<\/p>\n

Garland will head to Sandown Raceway on September 8-10 for the next round of the TCR Australia Series as part of the SpeedSeries program.<\/p>\n

The Melbourne circuit is something of a stronghold for Peugeot and Garry Rogers Motorsport, having won two of the three races there last year.<\/p>\n

"I'm really excited for the World Tour events, so I hope Sandown proves to be a breakthrough for us," Garland said.<\/p>\n
