Braydon Trindall has made it impossible for Craig Fitzgibbon<\/a> to drop him from the Sharks<\/a> team in the run to the finals.<\/p>\n

Matt Moylan<\/a> has worn the No.6 jumper for most of the season, and Fitzgibbon is a coach who rarely makes changes.<\/p>\n

But he gave Trindall only his seventh run of the year in the starting side against the Titans<\/a> on Friday night and the guy excelled.<\/p>\n

The creative five-eighth took some of the massive pressure off Nicho Hynes<\/a>' shoulders. He kicked smartly and had a hand in three tries.<\/p>\n

Moylan will now have to be content with a spot on the bench and the No.6 jumper appears to be Trindall's to lose.<\/p>\n

\ufeff'Woeful' Bunnies must bounce back against Knights<\/h2>\n

Souths<\/a>' finals hopes could rest with next weekend's game against the Knights<\/a>, but few Rabbitohs fans would be confident after a woeful performance against the Dragons<\/a> in Cairns.<\/p>\n

The Bunnies took the points with a 26-14 win, but it was anything but pretty.<\/p>\n

The two sides were as bad as each other, committing error after error and struggling for continuity.<\/p>\n

It was a few touches of class of the Rabbitohs' main men – Latrell Mitchell<\/a>, Alex Johnston<\/a> and Cody Walker<\/a> – that got Souths home.<\/p>\n

Storm<\/a> coach Craig Bellamy<\/a> has a great knack of finding 'no frills' players and turning them into quality first graders.<\/p>\n

And he looks to have come up with another one in back-rower Trent Loiero.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old Kawana Dolphins junior topped the Storm tackle count in the 48-2 smacking of the Raiders on Sunday<\/a>, ran for 100 metres and scored a try for good measure.<\/p>\n

Loiero will only get better and has developed into a regular member of the Storm pack leading into the finals.<\/p>\n

Hutchison showing his worth<\/h2>\n

If you lined up all the halfbacks in the NRL<\/a> in terms of pure football ability, Drew Hutchison would probably come in among the last few of the 17.<\/p>\n

But Hutchison is a competitor, a fighter and the type of player every club needs in their ranks.<\/p>\n

On Saturday night, he played one of the games of his life to keep the Roosters<\/a>' finals hopes alive as they came from 8-0 down to win 30-14 against the Dolphins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The versatile Hutchison bagged two tries and was instrumental in the fightback, showing the way to some of his much more highly-rated teammates.<\/p>\n

Shaun Johnson<\/a> may be the Warriors<\/a>' marquee man, but Saturday night's tough win over the Tigers<\/a> proved hooker Wayde Egan is the key figure in the team's finals charge.<\/p>\n

All looked on track for the Warriors in heavy conditions in Waikato, until the 23rd minute, when Egan was forced off the field and rushed to hospital after copping a forearm from Tigers giant Stefano Utoikamanu while attempting to make a tackle.<\/p>\n

Without their dummy-half and play creator, the Warriors immediately lost their way and the game developed into a slug-fest with the Tigers.<\/p>\n

The Warriors eventually took the game 30-22, but it was far from the comfortable win all the pundits were predicting.<\/p>\n

It took the experience of Johnson, in-form prop Addin Fonua-Blake and skipper Tohu Harris to get the Warriors over the line.<\/p>\n

Coach Andrew Webster<\/a> will be hoping Egan gets back on deck ASAP.<\/p>\n

Brisbane are the form team coming into the big games, even eclipsing red-hot premiers Penrith.<\/p>\n

With Adam Reynolds<\/a>, Reece Walsh<\/a>, Selwyn Cobbo<\/a> and co firing on all cylinders, the Broncos have scored an incredible 196 points in their past five games.<\/p>\n

The 44-point victory over the Eels<\/a> was their biggest win of the season and has thrown down the gauntlet to all the other contenders – at this stage the Broncos are the team to beat!<\/p>\n

One of Penrith<\/a>'s big guns is coming good just in time for the finals.<\/p>\n

Star centre Stephen Crichton was in the midst of a lean run by his lofty standards with just four tries in his past 10 games despite the Panthers' fine winning run in that time.<\/p>\n

But Crichton regained his mojo in Thursday night's 24-12 win over the Sea Eagles<\/a> at Brookvale.<\/p>\n

The tall centre bagged a try double, ran for 163 metres and came up with four tackle breaks in one of his best showings of the year.<\/p>\n
