Josh Buchan has surged to the lead of the TCR Australia Series<\/a> after two disastrous results for front-runner Bailey Sweeny.<\/p>\n

The HMO Customer Racing driver finished race one of the weekend at Queensland Raceway in 13th<\/a> after battery issues meant he had to start from pit lane.<\/p>\n

However, the team was later disqualified from the race and lost the 25 points he'd recorded.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After the adjustment, Sweeny's handy 28-point advantage over Buchan was whittled down to just three points.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The momentum swung the other way in race two after Sweeny struggled to make headway and could only finish ninth.<\/p>\n

Buchan, meanwhile, was sixth. That was enough to turn his deficit into a nine-point advantage with one race remaining in Ipswich.<\/p>\n

The reverse top 10 race two was won by privateer Brad Harris who valiantly fought off Garry Roger Motorsport's Aaron Cameron and Audi Performance Centre star Will Brown.<\/p>\n

Harris survived pressure all race long to win by a mere four tenths of a second, slapping the roof of his Honda Civic Type R driver in excitement.<\/p>\n

"That was a ripper," said Harris.<\/p>\n

"(Michael) Clemente got me off the start, I'm like 'I've gotta get him back!' I got him back and then I made a few little silly mistakes and Cameron was catching me.<\/p>\n

"Rapt. It's a reverse grid so it's not really the same stature but it's a ripper."<\/p>\n
