\ufeffShe was asked, "Is this a night you will ever forget?", but couldn't manage a single word in reply as she choked back tears.<\/p>\n

She was then able to explain why she was so emotional about watching her teammates reaching a World Cup semi for the first time.<\/p>\n

"What people don't understand is we have been in this situation twice before, and we've lost major tournaments because of penalties," Logarzo said.<\/p>\n

"I'm so proud of the people who missed those penalties, who stood up and took that, because it takes a lot of courage to step up and do it.<\/p>\n

"I couldn't be more proud of us making history. I can feel how amazing it feels… I just, I'm so proud.<\/p>\n

Logarzo was not the only one choking back tears – or openly crying – when Cortnee Vine slotted the winning penalty.<\/p>\n
