drug used to revive star after infamous brawl<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was heartache for the Netherlands and particularly the veteran \ufeffvan der Gragt, who had handed Spain the opening goal of the match with an accidental handball in the box in the 81st minute.<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"093b93a0-a8f6-4a56-b853-ad92acaf9994\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/093b93a0-a8f6-4a56-b853-ad92acaf9994\" alt=\"Netherlands player Stefanie van der Gragt handballs inside the penalty area.\" data-width=\"1631\" data-height=\"917\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Commentator Chris Wise noted van der Gragt was &quot;devastated&quot; when the VAR showed the ball hit her forearm only an inch or two inside the penalty area, allowing Mariona Caldentey to step up and slot the opener.<\/p>\n<p>\ufeffFortuitously, though, it was van der Gragt who only 11 minutes later fired a rocket past the Spanish &#x27;keeper to level the scores 1-1 and send the game into extra time.<\/p>\n<p>The strike sent the Dutch players into raptures, as well as the crowd at Westpac Stadium in Wellington.<\/p>\n<p>It was a quarter-final of high drama, \ufeffwhich began barely 10 minutes in when Spain was denied a goal by the ball hitting the post twice in as many seconds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/OptusSport\/status\/1689849920478732288?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"embed-social embed-twitter\">https:\/\/twitter.com\/OptusSport\/status\/1689849920478732288?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A header from Spanish striker Alba Redondo was superbly batted away by van Domselaar\ufeff, but the ball hit the goalpost and bounced back to Redondo who struck it with her foot, only to hit the post again.<\/p>\n<p>It meant the scoreboard remained 0-0 at half-time despite Spain having 23 touches inside the box compared to their opponent&#x27;s two.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Well we&#x27;ve seen some wonderful\ufeff saves at this World Cup, but that one is among the very best,&quot; commentator Wise said.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;World class from \ufeffDaphne van Domselaar\ufeff.&quot;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ninedigital.formstack.com\/forms\/matildas\"><img data-id=\"663500d1-755d-4617-81af-3e6bad70459d\" src=\"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/c405858a-1161-4576-90b6-b2c50d7e6281\" alt=\"\" data-width=\"2464\" data-height=\"389\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Former Matildas captain Melissa Barbieri marvelled at the save.\ufeff<\/p>\n<p>&quot;\ufeffThe ball in is superb, the follow-up post run, the save incredible&#8230;
