Former Wallabies assistant coach Simon Raiwalui has unveiled a dangerous Fiji squad headlined by Semi Radradra for the Rugby World Cup<\/a> in France.<\/p>\n

Ex-NRL star Radradra \ufeffwas one of the best players at the 2019 World Cup and he has even more quality around him four years on.<\/p>\n

Fiji's improving depth meant Raiwalui could not find room for well performed backs Seta Tamanivalu, Ben Volavola \ufeffand Vilimoni Botitu among his group of 33 that will meet Australia, Wales, Georgia and Portugal in Pool C.<\/p>\n

Australia and Wales are the favourites to progress to the quarter-finals but Fiji are a massive threat who have improved to 10th in the world rankings after recent hot form.<\/p>\n

Australia and Wales are ranked eighth and ninth respectively while Fiji are fresh from winning the Pacific Nations Cup, crushing Japan 35-12 in Tokyo last weekend.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Waisea Nayacalevu will captain Fiji, who will play France and England in warmup games this month.<\/p>\n

Jone Koroiduadua is the only uncapped player named in the squad.<\/p>\n

"We've had an amazing build-up," Raiwalui said.<\/p>\n

"We got to try different combinations against Tonga, Samoa and Japan and were able to come away with victories.<\/p>\n

\"Australia<\/p>\n

"We have been good in patches and played well. Our fitness has come a long way, but we still haven't put a game together for the full 80 minutes.<\/p>\n

"Now we have huge challenges against France and England. We've taken it one challenge at a time, so next up is a very, very good French team."<\/p>\n

Raiwalui was the Wallabies forwards coach under Michael Cheika at the 2019 World Cup.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Queensland Reds prop Peni Ravai was named to play at his third World Cup.<\/p>\n

"We have had a good journey for the last five weeks, starting from Taveuni. I couldn't be more proud of the players and the input they had in all our three Test matches," Raiwalui said.<\/p>\n
