S\ufeffouths<\/a> prop Tom Burgess<\/a> has been offered a three-game ban for his hit on Tom Hazelton, despite Andrew Johns and Phil Gould's belief the clash didn't even warrant a sin-binning.<\/p>\n

With his side down by 10 points in the dying minutes of the Sharks' 26-16 win on Saturday night<\/a>, Burgess flew out of the Souths line and put a massive hit on the Sharks interchange, who was pulled from the field for a HIA.<\/p>\n

After a short review by the Bunker, Burgess was sent to the bin and for an early shower.<\/p>\n

Burgess was hit with a grade two careless high tackle charge. He'll get an extra week if he fights the charge at the judiciary and loses.<\/p>\n

The judiciary verdict is likely to baffle both Johns and Gould, after the pair didn't see anything wrong with it during the match.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Lachlan Fitzgibbon was fined $1800 for a dangerous contact charge on Jamayne Isaako, and Jake Granville $1000 for a high shot on Jesse Arthars.<\/p>\n
