Brisbane<\/a> coach Kevin Walters<\/a> has praised fullback Reece Walsh<\/a>'s strong showing in the Broncos' 30-14 win over the Cowboys<\/a> after the death of his uncle this week.<\/p>\n

Walsh \ufeffwas a standout for the Broncos and sealed the result with a try in the 74th minute.<\/p>\n

After \ufeffbenefiting from a botched intercept attempt, Walsh scooped up the ball and sprinted away to score.<\/p>\n

Diving over the line, Walsh quickly got to his feet and \ufeffsignaled to the sky in an emotional tribute to his late uncle.<\/p>\n

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Walters praised the 21-year-old for turning in a top performance despite the family tragedy.<\/p>\n

"He's had a tough week Reece with family and the like. It was a really strong performance from him after a tough week," he said.<\/p>\n

"It was great to see him get that try and he showed some emotion when he got it.<\/p>\n

"He made some really big plays for us. I thought his work out the back with Jock (Madden) and Ezra (Mam) was really good and defensively he came up with a couple of really good plays for us to get our numbers right."<\/p>\n

In addition to his try, Walsh finished the match with \ufefftwo linebreak assists, a linebreak, four tackle busts and 135 run metres as Brisbane drew level with the Panthers at the top of the league table.<\/p>\n
