The TCR Australia Series<\/a> will add another Supercars<\/a> star to its ranks at the forthcoming round with Tim Slade set to make his category return.<\/p>\n

Slade will join Ashley Seward Motorsport (ASM) in the team's Lynk & Co 03 at Queensland Raceway on August 11-13.<\/p>\n

The cameo comes as series regular Tom Oliphant returns to the United Kingdom to marry his partner of 13 years, Genevieve Gordon.<\/p>\n

Stan Sport is the only place to watch all the 2023 SpeedSeries.<\/strong><\/em> All the action streaming ad free, live and on demand<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Oliphant is expected to return for the following round at Sandown Raceway on September 8-10.<\/p>\n

"It's disappointing to be missing the Queensland race however it couldn't be for a better reason," said Oliphant.<\/p>\n

"I will be in the UK marrying my girlfriend of 13 years, Gen, who has supported me through my entire motorsport career.<\/p>\n

"ASM and Autoglym have found a great replacement and I wish them the best of luck up in Queensland.<\/p>\n

"I will be back and pushing to get my next win under my belt at Sandown in September."<\/p>\n

Slade will be one of three drivers with Supercars ties alongside Melbourne Performance Centre's Will Brown and Tony D'Alberto of Wall Racing \u2013 both TCR champions.<\/p>\n

It marks a return to the series for Slade, who joined Wall Racing in a Honda Civic Type R at Mount Panorama in 2022 at the Bathurst 6 Hour.<\/p>\n

Slade is optimistic he'll be a front-runner on returning to the series in a car that's a known contender globally.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"I really enjoyed the test day in the Lynk & Co and working with Ashley Seward who's pretty switched on when it comes to preparing a car and the setup side of things," said Slade.<\/p>\n

\"Tim<\/p>\n

"The Lynk & Co has a pretty good history in Europe and been extremely successful over there, and from my limited TCR experience it's the most enjoyable TCR car that I've driven.<\/p>\n

"I tested Ash's Alfa a couple of years ago and raced the Honda at Bathurst, but the Lynk & Co drives the closest to a normal rear-wheel-drive car in comparison.<\/p>\n

"I first worked with Ash back when I first moved to Melbourne, so we go back a fair way, and his standard is extremely high with everything he does. <\/p>\n

"That was part of the enjoyment on the test day, just the level he goes to with it all."<\/p>\n

The TCR Australia Series headlines the action at Queensland Raceway as part of the SpeedSeries program.<\/p>\n

That weekend will also feature the National Trans Am Series, GT World Challenge Australia, V8 Touring Cars, Porsche Sprint Challenge, as well as Australian Production Cars and GT4.<\/p>\n
