Port Adelaide champion Kane Cornes<\/a> has called for the Western Bulldogs<\/a> board to review coach Luke Beveridge<\/a> at season's end, suggesting the club will continue to waste "one of the AFL's great lists" if he remains in charge.<\/p>\n

Cornes call comes after the Bulldogs coughed up a 36-point lead \ufeffagainst GWS on Saturday, to go down by just five points.<\/p>\n

"This is a wasted year, they are wasting one of the AFL's great lists and that comes down to coaching and discussions should be had at the end of the year," Cornes said on Nine's AFL Sunday Footy Show<\/em>.<\/p>\n

"I don't say that lightly. I just think and feel like they are wasting one of the greats lists in the game."<\/p>\n

Cornes dissected \ufeffthe talent the Bulldogs list holds, questioning why the team hasn't added to its drought-breaking 2016 premiership with the same core of players.<\/p>\n

"They've got three of the top five players (per Champion Data rankings) in the league. That's (Tom Liberatore) Libba, that's (Tim) English, that's (Marcus) Bontempelli," he said.<\/p>\n

"They've got two key forwards in their absolute prime, that's (Aaron) Naughton and (Jamarra) Ugle-Hagan\ufeff. They've got two All-Australian running defenders in (Bailey) Dale and (Caleb) Daniel."<\/p>\n

The Dogs dropped to ninth on the AFL ladder after round 20, with Cornes blaming the plunge on "bizarre" choices made by Beveridge at the selection table.<\/p>\n

"You look at the bizarre selection decisions they make week after week.\ufeff You look at the fact they cough up leads weeks after week," Cornes said.<\/p>\n

"If you are wasting the talent that is on your list, that comes down to coaching for me."<\/p>\n

Cornes is pushing for the leaders of the club to make a call on Beveridge's immediate future, despite the coach still having two years to run on his contract.<\/p>\n

"I'm not sure how much further evidence the Western Bulldogs board needs not to sit down and have some serious discussions about the coach at the end of the year," he said.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"2016 is a long time ago."<\/p>\n

"They're so comfortable, this is just going to roll on again."<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs host Richmond on \ufeffFriday night at Marvel Stadium, in a must-win match to keep their finals hopes alive.<\/p>\n
