Carlton<\/a> has stunned ladder-leaders and rivals Collingwood<\/a>, stamping its authority with a 17-point win spearheaded by Charlie Curnow's six majors at the MCG on Friday night.<\/p>\n

Despite a late master-move from Collingwood coach Craig McRae<\/a> to move Jeremy Howe (three goals) to the forward line in the final term, it wasn't enough to see the Pies over the line.<\/p>\n

"I'm a bit speechless," Curnow said post-match.<\/p>\n

A full-strength Magpies side was no match for the ferocious Blues, who held the lead from half-time until the final siren, notching their 10th win of the season and their sixth on the trot.<\/p>\n

Collingwood's inaccuracy proved costly, booting 10.16, despite winning the inside 50 count 53 to 49.<\/p>\n

Carlton takes home the Peter Mac Trophy\ufeff, with the Richard Pratt Medal awarded to Curnow for his best-on-ground performance.<\/p>\n

"I want to shout out Caleb Marchbank, great to see him back out on the field playing good footy," Curnow said in his acceptance speech.<\/p>\n

Curnow finished with those six majors from 15 disposals, while Collingwood young gun Nick Daicos tallied 28 touches.<\/p>\n

Despite the loss, the Magpies still sit two games clear on top of the ladder, while the Blues' 10th win of the season sees them leapfrog into fifth on the ladder.<\/p>\n
