This time, he&#8217;s coaching at his former high school in Alabama.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">According to a report by\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.al.com\/sports\/2023\/07\/jeremy-pruitt-hired-as-teacher-assistant-coach-at-plainview-high-school-his-alma-mater.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Greg Stephenson at AL.com<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, former Tennessee Volunteers head football coach Jeremy Pruitt has been hired as a PE teacher and assistant coach at Plainview High School (Ala.), where he once attended.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_101512524\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-101512524\" class=\"size-full wp-image-101512524\" src=\"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/USATSI_15451456-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-101512524\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tennessee Volunteers head coach Jeremy Pruitt during the game against the Tennessee Volunteers at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, FL on Saturday, September 21, 2019. [Matt Pendleton\/Correspondent]<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;AL.com reported Thursday that Pruitt, who was the Dawgs\u2019 defensive coordinator from 2014-15, has been hired as a PE teacher and assistant coach at Plainview High School in Rainsville, Alabama, which is Pruitt\u2019s hometown. He will also coach junior high basketball.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Pruitt has a background as a defensive backs coach, but he worked his way up the ranks to eventually become head coach at Tennessee. He went 16-19 during his three-year run there from 2018-2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Pruitt has also been the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.knoxnews.com\/story\/sports\/college\/university-of-tennessee\/football\/2022\/07\/22\/jeremy-pruitt-tennessee-football-ncaa-recruiting-scandal-everyone-involved\/10124859002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">subject of a recruiting scandal<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. He, his wife and some members of his staff at Tennessee were found to have given out impermissible benefits to some players. As a result, he was fired from his position early in 2021 for cause.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Pruitt has also put in time as the defensive coordinator at Georgia, Alabama and Florida State. Most recently, he was a Senior defensive assistant for the New York Giants in 2021 under former head coach Joe Judge.
