Collingwood defender Tom Langdon has called time on his career following a string of injuries.<\/p>\n
Langdon, who hasn't featured for the Magpies since round nine last year, will retire from the AFL after failing to overcome an ongoing knee issue.<\/p>\n
The 26-year-old had been sidelined due to chronic cartilage damage in his right knee.<\/p>\n
Langdon played a total of 89 games for the club after making his debut back in 2014. He was also a member of Collingwood's grand final side who lost to the Eagles in 2018.<\/p>\n

"Tom played some wonderful football for Collingwood and it was a sad day when the reality of his premature retirement arrived," Collingwood GM of Football Geoff Walsh said.<\/p>\n
"We saw him work incredibly hard to get back. He pushed himself through so much pain to keep his hopes of a comeback flickering. Given his talent and application, his finish is a cruel football story.<\/p>\n
