Gold Coast Titans<\/a> utility Lauren Brown has been hailed for a sensational field goal after continuing her old side's winless start to the season.<\/p>\n

After the first 70 minutes finished 16-16, golden point eventually split the sides when Brown slotted the one-point winner in the 76th minute to help the Titans down the Brisbane Broncos<\/a>.<\/p>\n

NRLW legend Ruan Sims<\/a> described Brown's ability to handle the pressure as "magic" after Broncos five-eighth Gayle Broughton missed an attempt moments earlier.<\/p>\n

"That was fabulous … we spoke about (how) she was going to be the one that would probably pull the trigger on this, we saw the lead-up, saw the set up … this trigger pull under huge pressure, that was magic," she said on Nine's coverage.<\/p>\n

Ferguson praised the tactics of Titans coach Karyn Murphy too \ufeffafter Brown was brought back on to the field for extra-time.<\/p>\n

"She had to come back on the field and find a place for her, huge wraps to Karyn Murphy in identifying that, how close the game is and what a game-changer Lauren Brown is," she said.<\/p>\n

"The execution of that drop kick under pressure was absolutely perfect, you couldn't find another player in rugby league that could slot a field goal that good from where she did it."<\/p>\n

The Broncos were off to the perfect start, leading 10-0 after seven minutes with tries to Lauren Dam and Ashley Maddick. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Titans winger Emily Bass put her side on the board first before it was all level after 23 minutes with Evania Pelite going over.<\/p>\n

Broughton put her Broncos back in front in the second half but the Titans didn't go away with Jessika Elliston helping keep it even with a try in the 47th minute.<\/p>\n

Neither side could land the winner in normal time \ufeffafter Titans five-eighth Chantay Kiria-Ratu missed a field goal attempt.<\/p>\n

Brown then ended the game as the hero, \ufeffhitting the field goal 20 metres out under heavy pressure.<\/p>\n
