Mollie O'Callaghan has set a world record in the women's 200-metre freestyle, pipping Ariarne Titmus to the gold medal at the World Aquatics Championships.<\/p>\n
Titmus led for the majority of the race, but was overrun by an incredible final lap from the \ufeff19-year-old, who is also coached by Dean Boxall.<\/p>\n
O'Callaghan's time of 1:52.85 set a new world record for the event, breaking the previous best set by Federica Pellegrini in 2009.<\/p>\n
Titmus finished second with a time of 1:53.01, while Canadian young gun Summer McIntosh came in third with 1:53.65.\ufeff<\/p>\n
