Rabbitohs<\/a> coach Jason Demetriou<\/a> has delivered a stinging attack on his team after going down to the Broncos, saying a number of his players "weren't good teammates" in the loss.<\/p>\n

In a clash of two top eight sides, Demetriou's Souths were beaten handily, and the coach labelled the performance which led to a 36-20 scoreline "embarrassing".<\/p>\n

However, of more concern than the scoreline for Demetriou was the attitude of his players throughout the night.<\/p>\n

\ufeff"I didn't think we were up for the physicality," he said.<\/p>\n

"I don't think we came to the game with a defensive, physical side to us and that generally leads to trying to play loose, trying to score every time we touch the ball and not respecting that."<\/p>\n

Demetriou then went a step further, suggesting some of his players played selfish football.<\/p>\n

\ufeff"There were points where we wanted to fight and blokes like Jai Arrow were absolutely ripping in out there and giving everything for his teammates," he said.<\/p>\n

"But we had blokes that weren't good teammates tonight. There was too many of them that weren't even close to rating what is an acceptable level at NRL.<\/p>\n

\"NRL<\/p>\n

"That's our job during the week, to find out why and fix it \u2014 and fix it quick.<\/p>\n

"We weren't one team out there, we were a group of individuals looking at excuses, finger-pointing and blame. We've got to come together and look inward \u2014 myself, all the staff, the players \u2014 we've got to come together and get this back on track."<\/p>\n

The loss leaves Demetriou's Bunnies eighth on the ladder with a clash against the lowly Wests Tigers on deck in round 22.<\/p>\n
