{"id":317284,"date":"2023-07-19T16:46:44","date_gmt":"2023-07-19T16:46:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=317284"},"modified":"2023-07-19T16:57:39","modified_gmt":"2023-07-19T16:57:39","slug":"132-pound-teen-from-utah-sets-new-world-record-for-deadlifting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=317284","title":{"rendered":"132-pound teen from Utah sets new world record for deadlifting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Drake Slattery, a 16-year-old at American Fork High School (Utah), has set a new world record for deadlifting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Checking in at just 132 pounds, Slattery set a new record in his weight class by deadlifting 423 pounds at the 2023\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/uspa.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">United States Powerlifting<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Nationals on July 10 in Las Vegas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Slattery told\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abc4.com\/news\/local-news\/16-year-old-highland-powerlifter-sets-world-record\/amp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Heather W. Smith at ABC4 Utah<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0that he practices 4-6 times a week, but he also has other interests, including skiing, which is what inspired him to get into weightlifting in the first place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;&#8221;There was just something about it, it was different.
