Port Adelaide<\/a> great Kane Cornes<\/a> says it would be a "terrible look" \ufeffif ex-Richmond coach Damien Hardwick<\/a> took over at the Gold Coast Suns<\/a>, just months after leaving the Tigers "burnt out".<\/p>\n

Hardwick, who left the Tigers at the end of May, has been linked to the now-vacant coaching job at the Suns, after the sacking of Stuart Dew.<\/a><\/p>\n

"It's a terrible look to quit Richmond after trading away your draft picks, saying you're mentally burnt out, and two weeks later … say you're ready to go," Cornes said on Nine's Footy Classified<\/em> on Monday night.<\/p>\n

But it's not just \ufeffHardwick on the struggling Suns' radar, with show host Craig Hutchison flagging Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley as a possibly replacement on a long-term deal.<\/p>\n

"They've gone through (Guy) McKenna, (Rodney) Eade, (Stuart) Dew. They've got to do something, the Suns," Hutchison said on Monday night.<\/p>\n

"The wildcard is Ken Hinkley at the Suns."<\/p>\n

Leading AFL journalist Caroline Wilson, however, indicated that Hardwick would be the only option for Gold Coast, which is yet to make finals since joining the league in 2011.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Of course Hardwick's resume is better with three premierships," Wilson said.<\/p>\n
