That year, the two sides recorded an 18-all draw.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Watch every match of the 2023 Rugby Championship on the home of rugby, Stan Sport.<\/strong><\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/9.nine.com.au\/KRnrlm\"><em><strong>All matches streaming ad free, live and on demand<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With the FIFA Women&#x27;s World Cup taking hold of Eden Park, the Rugby Championship moved down the road to the home of the Warriors.<\/p>\n<p><img data-id=\"bd08b016-722c-4e64-b8d6-016f08279b4b\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/bd08b016-722c-4e64-b8d6-016f08279b4b\" alt=\"Richie Mo&#x27;unga is congratulated by teammates after scoring a try during the Rugby Championship Test between the All Blacks and Springboks at Mt Smart Stadium.\" data-width=\"3529\" data-height=\"2353\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Away from the so-called fortress, the Springboks had hoped that extraordinary record might be broken, fresh off the back of their 43-12 thrashing of the <a href=\"https:\/\/wwos.nine.com.au\/wallabies\" title=\"Wallabies\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wallabies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, the change of venue didn&#x27;t change the outcome as the All Blacks romped to victory in an all-time classic.<\/p>\n<p>The All Blacks dominated the first half, starting with a try in the first five minutes courtesy of Aaron Smith, who received an off-load from hard-charger Will Jordan having found a gap in the Springboks defence.<\/p>\n<p>That try was converted and a penalty goal followed five minutes later, making the score 10-0.<\/p>\n<p><img data-video-id=\"6331235546112\" src=\"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/pickerimage-143.jpg\" alt=\"\u2018Vintage\u2019 All Blacks open scoring\" data-vms-id=\"ref:clk3p89vw000i0moa4drjnlqh\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Again, it was Jordan who played a key part in the second try, bursting through the Springboks&#x27; seams before the ball ended in Shannon Frizell&#x27;s hands, who bowled over the defensive line to make it 17-0 with the conversion.<\/p>\n<p>The All Blacks were faultless early on, only conceding their first penalty in the 19th minute.<\/p>\n<p>The Springboks looked to have scored their first try of the match off the back of a Faf de Klerk chip to the corner, which was simultaneously grabbed by Jordie Barrett and Cheslin Kolbe.<\/p>\n<p>As Barrett lost the ball, Kolbe thought he&#x27;d grounded it. However, the TMO determined the No.14 didn&#x27;t have control of the ball.<\/p>\n<p><img data-video-id=\"6331234671112\" src=\"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/pickerimage-144.jpg\" alt=\"Barnstorming All Blacks score again\" data-vms-id=\"ref:clk3pcskm000v0jnu8olelz9i\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another penalty followed for the All Blacks and they led 20-3 at the halftime break.<\/p>\n<p>If the first half was all about New Zealand, then the second half was a much more balanced affair.<\/p>\n<p>The home side didn&#x27;t get much of a look at the try line in the first stanza and indeed it was South Africa who struck first.<\/p>\n<p>Malcolm Marx scored off the back of a rolling maul in the 54th minute to draw the gap back to 20-10.<\/p>\n<p>But, having kept the All Blacks at bay for the first leg of the second half, the floodgates soon opened.<\/p>\n<p>Will Jordan scored his 22nd try in his 22nd Test in the 68th minute from a Beauden Barrett chip kick to make it 30-15.<\/p>\n<p>With three minutes to go, Richie Mo&#x27;unga scored off the back of a scrum to make it 35-15 before Kwagga Smith scored a consolation try at the other end of the field from a turnover.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, it was New Zealand who upset the 2019 Rugby World Cup winners, 35-20.<\/p>\n<p>Two more matches remain for the All Blacks before the Rugby World Cup kicks off in earnest.
