The All Blacks<\/a> have kept their extraordinary streak over the Springboks<\/a> in Auckland intact in another enthralling encounter in the Rugby Championship<\/a>, winning 35-20 at Mt Smart Stadium.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The All Blacks haven't lost to the Springboks in Auckland in 86 years \u2013 their last defeat coming in 1937.<\/p>\n

Since 1994, New Zealand has been unbeaten. That year, the two sides recorded an 18-all draw.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With the FIFA Women's World Cup taking hold of Eden Park, the Rugby Championship moved down the road to the home of the Warriors.<\/p>\n

Away from the so-called fortress, the Springboks had hoped that extraordinary record might be broken, fresh off the back of their 43-12 thrashing of the Wallabies<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the end, the change of venue didn't change the outcome as the All Blacks romped to victory in an all-time classic.<\/p>\n

The All Blacks dominated the first half, starting with a try in the first five minutes courtesy of Aaron Smith, who received an off-load from hard-charger Will Jordan having found a gap in the Springboks defence.<\/p>\n

That try was converted and a penalty goal followed five minutes later, making the score 10-0.<\/p>\n

Again, it was Jordan who played a key part in the second try, bursting through the Springboks' seams before the ball ended in Shannon Frizell's hands, who bowled over the defensive line to make it 17-0 with the conversion.<\/p>\n

The All Blacks were faultless early on, only conceding their first penalty in the 19th minute.<\/p>\n

The Springboks looked to have scored their first try of the match off the back of a Faf de Klerk chip to the corner, which was simultaneously grabbed by Jordie Barrett and Cheslin Kolbe.<\/p>\n

As Barrett lost the ball, Kolbe thought he'd grounded it. However, the TMO determined the No.14 didn't have control of the ball.<\/p>\n

Another penalty followed for the All Blacks and they led 20-3 at the halftime break.<\/p>\n

If the first half was all about New Zealand, then the second half was a much more balanced affair.<\/p>\n

The home side didn't get much of a look at the try line in the first stanza and indeed it was South Africa who struck first.<\/p>\n

Malcolm Marx scored off the back of a rolling maul in the 54th minute to draw the gap back to 20-10.<\/p>\n

But, having kept the All Blacks at bay for the first leg of the second half, the floodgates soon opened.<\/p>\n

Will Jordan scored his 22nd try in his 22nd Test in the 68th minute from a Beauden Barrett chip kick to make it 30-15.<\/p>\n

With three minutes to go, Richie Mo'unga scored off the back of a scrum to make it 35-15 before Kwagga Smith scored a consolation try at the other end of the field from a turnover.<\/p>\n

In the end, it was New Zealand who upset the 2019 Rugby World Cup winners, 35-20.<\/p>\n

Two more matches remain for the All Blacks before the Rugby World Cup kicks off in earnest. The Wallabies will host the All Blacks on July 29 in Melbourne before heading back across the ditch to Dunedin \ufeffon August 5.<\/p>\n
