Someone apparently saw Carlos Alcaraz's<\/a> dad filming Novak Djokovic during practice at Wimbledon<\/a>. So Alcaraz was asked if that did, indeed, happen \u2014 and he said he wouldn't be surprised if it did.<\/p>\n

That's because Alcaraz's father is a big fan of tennis. Spends all day at the All England Club, even, watching plenty of players other than the No.1-ranked 20-year-old known as \u201cCarlitos.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dad keeps an eye on matches. On practices, too. And so, sure, maybe he pulled out his phone and snapped some video of Djokovic, the son said.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be able to watch Djokovic in real life, yeah, probably it is true he\u2019d film the sessions,\u201d Alcaraz said.<\/p>\n

The practice courts at Wimbledon are accessible to reporters and a limited number of fans, who often line up to watch the sport's biggest names during their sessions and then record some footage as a keepsake.<\/p>\n

Players practice on adjacent courts that have no walls or barriers between them, so they can keep tabs on each other, too.<\/p>\n

Alcaraz's 7-6 (3), 6-4, 6-4 victory over No.6 Holger Rune at Centre Court was the first men's quarter-final at Wimbledon in the Open era, which dates to 1968, with two players who are not yet 21. Both Spain's Alcaraz, who won last year's US Open, and Denmark's Rune are 20.<\/p>\n

Alcaraz faces Medvedev in the semi-finals after the Russian defeated American Chris Eubanks to reach the final four at the All England Club for the first time.<\/p>\n

If Alcaraz beats Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals, he might end up facing Djokovic in the final. Djokovic has won Wimbledon four times in a row and seven times overall. He plays Jannik Sinner in the other semi-final.<\/p>\n

So could video captured by his father give Alcaraz an advantage?<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think so,\u201d Alcaraz said. \u201cI mean, I have a lot of videos from Djokovic on every platform."<\/p>\n

The issue surfaced during Djokovic's Serbian press conference when he called for more privacy.<\/p>\n

"The circumstances are such that we don't have privacy in training, although sometimes I would like to have more privacy," Djokovic said.<\/p>\n

"Then it gives me more opportunities to try some things, to communicate more clearly with my team.<\/p>\n

"The fact is that you are not completely relaxed in training. You know your rivals are there, you know everyone is looking over your shoulder at what's going on, what you're working on. Every shot is measured, evaluated and assessed.<\/p>\n

"That, through some analysis, affects the eventual meeting with Alcaraz or anyone. Concentration is required. For me, training is like a match. I bring that intensity to training as well."<\/p>\n

Alcaraz said he's looking forward to his last-four clash against Russian third seed.<\/p>\n

"He's playing great here on grass," he said. "He has had a great, great year as well… but I am going to enjoy the semi-final.<\/p>\n

"I think I'm playing great, a lot of confidence right now. So it's going to be a really good match I think."<\/p>\n
