Queensland<\/a> great Darren Lockyer<\/a> has tipped Valentine Holmes<\/a> to complete an outstanding series by winning the Wally Lewis<\/a> Medal on Wednesday night but says Daly Cherry-Evans and Cameron Munster are capable of spoiling the party.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the man who the trophy for Player of the Series honours has gone for Munster to show his class in game three and add another award to his growing trophy cabinet.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Wide World of Sports' QLDER<\/em><\/a>, Wally Lewis said the man in the famous Maroons No.6 jersey deserved to be \ufeffconsidered the new king of Origin<\/a>, taking over the mantle from the likes of Lewis himself.<\/p>\n

\"Maroons\u2019<\/p>\n

"A couple of five-eighths who have played there before (have dominated) and you'd probably like to think if you were in the position Munster's in you'd do similar things. Most of the time he's done it fantastically\ufeff," Lewis said.<\/p>\n

"There may have been a different choice I would have made but I watched his and it works so I was the one who was wrong there.<\/p>\n

"He's got that wonderful opportunity… he creates doubt in the mind of the defender virtually every time that he's carting the ball and for a Queenslander to watch that and just see the dismay on the faces of the New South Welshman, you can see that they're not quite sure, do they commit themselves to him or hang off? Do they look for the intended ball receiver or do they look for the guy who could be an option runner?<\/p>\n

"So as soon as you've got them thinking about that you know the job's half done."<\/p>\n

While Munster is yet to claim a Man of the Match award this series, he's been involved in several of the key moments that have led to Queensland's unassailable 2-0 lead.<\/p>\n

With less than 10 minutes remaining in Origin I the Blues had a lead. It was at that point that Munster stepped up and took the game in his own hands, isolating the out-of-position Nicho Hynes and creating space for speedster Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow to turn the result on its head.<\/p>\n

While Munster's been outstanding when it's mattered most, Lo\ufeffckyer said other players had enjoyed more complete series.<\/p>\n

"I think DCE's been really good too," Lockyer said. "Munster, even though Munster was quiet game one he came up with some big plays \ufeffand he was good in game two. Look, there's a number of players there, whoever plays really well on the night will go a long way to winning it."<\/p>\n

While Munster, Cherry-Evans and Pat Carrigan were the most popular picks to win the Wally Lewis Medal by Nine's tipsters.<\/p>\n

Reuben Cotter and Lindsay Collins, who have won Man of the Match awards in the first two clashes are also considered a strong chance.\ufeff<\/p>\n
