Parramatta Eels<\/a> second-rower Shaun Lane<\/a> will have a nervous wait ahead of him after he was put on report for tripping during his side's huge loss to the Warriors<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lane came under scrutiny after extending his leg towards Mitch Barnett as the Warriors second-rower crashed over for his second try.<\/p>\n

Barnett was outstanding for his side with four tackle breaks and three line breaks during a dominant 46-10 win. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Lane may not have too much to worry about though, with cold water poured on the incident by commentators. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"That is going to be a problem for Shaun Lane, I don't think it's a significant punishment but they've put him on report," Dan Ginnane said on Fox League.<\/p>\n

Balmain Tigers great Steve "Blocker" Roach also didn't believe it warranted a big punishment.<\/p>\n

"He might have a little fine out of that one," he said. \ufeff<\/p>\n

The Warriors were impressive from the start, with Luke Metcalf going over in the sixth minute. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Eels centre Bailey Simonsson was next to go over but from there it was all the Warriors.<\/p>\n

Metcalf put forward one of the best performances of his career as his side scored six unanswered tries.<\/p>\n

Marcelo Montoya went over for a first half double while Metcalf also scored two.<\/p>\n

Dylan Walker grabbed a try right on half-time in was was his 200th match, to make it the Warriors' biggest score in a first half in nine years as they led 30-4. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Mitch Barnett then went in for his first four-pointer in a Warriors jersey while Dallin Watene-Zelezniak also scored.<\/p>\n

Lane gave the home fans something to smile about with a try in the 66th minute, however Barnett grabbed his double moments later during the tripping incident. \ufeff<\/p>\n

The heavy 46-10 defeat was almost the Eels' biggest loss at CommBank Stadium, but the 38-0 record defeat to Souths in 2020 stayed in tact.<\/p>\n
