Canberra<\/a> was off to the perfect start on Friday night, and celebrated in hilarious fashion.<\/p>\n

The Raiders decided they'd mock England cricketer Jonny Bairstow<\/a> after he was stumped in controversial circumstances by Alex Carey in the second Ashes Test at Lord's<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jordan Rapana went over with ease to score the first try for Canberra, \ufeffrunning over the Dragons defence on the short side in an effort rugby league Immortal Andrew Johns described as "beyond soft".<\/p>\n

With the Try July campaign underway – raising funds for the recovery efforts of Nathan Stapleton and Daniel Anderson\ufeff – about half a dozen Raiders players came together for the celebration.<\/p>\n

Englishman Elliott Whitehead was chosen to play the role of Bairstow while Rapana bowled the football.<\/p>\n

Hooker Zac Woolford acted as Alex Carey to stump Whitehead on the corner post.<\/p>\n
