Jared Waerea-Hargreaves<\/a> will wait to see if his name appears on the match review committee's charge sheet after an incident on Manly<\/a>'s \ufeffToafofoa Sipley.<\/p>\n

The Roosters<\/a> enforcer had his hands all over Sipley's face during a tackle in the first half that left the\ufeff prop clutching at his eye and staying down.<\/p>\n

Manly went on to win the game 18-16 in a thrilling contest where the lead changed five times.<\/p>\n

Watching footage of the Sipley tackle at half-time on Nine's coverage, \ufeff Queensland great Billy Slater said the positioning of his hand meant he was flirting with danger. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"At the end of the day when you put your hands around someone's face you're always going to have something to worry about, whether they look at it or they deem it was accidental, it'll be what it'll be," he said.<\/p>\n

"I don't think he was put on report, Jared didn't get a penalty for it, so the referees didn't see anything in it but I'm sure the match review committee will have a look at it."<\/p>\n

Roosters premiership winner Sonny Bill Williams doesn't think he'll have too much to worry about. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"Jezza's (JWH) always running that fine line but it's in the middle, there's confrontation, he was probably looking for a handle and he found a face but it doesn't look that bad from my point of view," he said.<\/p>\n

In a must-win game for both sides, the Roosters hit the lead after 22 minutes when a wonderful flick pass from Joey Manu put Junior Pauga over.<\/p>\n

Manly got one back moments later when a chip kick from Reuben Garrick found Daly Cherry-Evans who scored his first of the day to make it 6-4 in his side's favour.<\/p>\n

James Tedesco inspired the third lead change of the day with a lovely try built off support play, however Cherry-Evans grabbed his second right on half-time from an intercept to go into the sheds with a 12-10 lead.<\/p>\n

Joey Manu's return to centre got even better when he managed to get on the outside of the defence and put the Roosters ahead again in the 47th minute.<\/p>\n

The Roosters looked like they might hold on to the lead but a classy pass from Josh Schuster nine minutes from full-time \ufeffput Ben Trbojevic through a hole as the Brookvale Oval crowd went crazy, sealing an 18-16 win.<\/p>\n

Victor Radley will have concerns yet again after he was put on report in the second half for a high tackle on Manly prop Taniela Paseka.<\/p>\n

Rugby league Immortal Andrew Johns thought he was fortunate to have only been put on report.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"He's lucky he didn't get binned for that one," he said on Nine's coverage.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Both sides will have the bye next week. \ufeff<\/p>\n
