B\ufeffrisbane Broncos<\/a> star Selwyn Cobbo<\/a> has left fans, experts and teammates in awe after a superb hat-trick in the Battle of Brisbane.<\/p>\n

Cobbo finished with a hat-trick in the Broncos 24-16 win over the Dolphins<\/a> \ufeffafter the latter fought back in the second half.<\/p>\n

The winger produced a brilliant \ufeffchip and chase late in the game to put the Broncos ahead, leaving Queensland Maroons great Cooper Cronk in awe.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI'm jealous of players like Selwyn Cobbo because they've got this bunch of skill, fun, enjoyment and they just go out and deliver when they need to," he said on Fox League.<\/p>\n

"Some of the performances we've seen him put together, some of the freakish acts, for him to chip and chase down 16-14 with 10 minutes to go and get the ball back and then smile like he meant to do it, I just love the fact guys like Selwyn can deliver and he's a hell of a player."<\/p>\n

Cronk also left a little message for ex-teammate and Queensland coach Billy Slater after Cobbo was left out in Game II.<\/p>\n

"Would he be in my Queensland team? Absolutely he would be," he said.<\/p>\n

Cobbo also spoke of his excitement at the potential of pulling on a Maroons jersey again.<\/p>\n

"I can't wait, I've just got to wait for that call," he said at full-time.<\/p>\n

Cobbo scored first in the seventh minute, after burning former Bronco Tesi Niu down the sideline.<\/p>\n

\ufeffHerbie Farnworth then scored his first by driving over Valynce Te Whare before Kodi Nikorima scored the Dolphins only first half try.<\/p>\n

Farnworth then went over for his second in the 27th minute, to put the Broncos up 14-6 with the score staying the same at half-time.<\/p>\n

The Dolphins came out of the sheds firing, with Te Whare getting his revenge and monstering over Brendan Piakura and Farnworth.<\/p>\n

Jeremy Marshall-King then went over close to the line to give the side a 16-14 lead with 17 minutes remaining.<\/p>\n

From there, Cobbo showed why he's one of the best youngsters in the competition, scoring the chip and chase kick before sealing his hat-trick right on full-time, burning Niu again to make it 24-16.<\/p>\n

Dolphins hooker Jeremy Marshall-King managed to play the whole game, however coach Wayne Bennett revealed post-game that he'd re-aggravated a shoulder injury that could rule him out for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n
