NSW Blues<\/a> legend Paul Gallen<\/a> has responded to suggestions he should take over from Brad Fittler as coach after a second straight series loss. <\/p>\n

Fittler's contract will end after game three, with no indication made on whether it'll be renewed. <\/p>\n

Gallen has been thrown up as a possible replacement, along with former players like Andrew Johns<\/a> and his brother Matthew Johns.<\/p>\n

The former Blues captain was strong in his denial. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"\ufeffNo, I've addressed this over the past couple of days, had multiple journos ring me, I think did an interview on 2GB the other night about it," he told 2GB's Wide World of Sports Radio.<\/p>\n

\"Paul<\/p>\n

"It's not for me at this point in time."<\/p>\n

The Cronulla Sharks premiership winner didn't rule it out happening in the future though. <\/p>\n

"I never say never, it's not something I don't ever want to do, but at this stage it's not for me," he said. <\/p>\n

Gallen went on to criticise the commentary around Fittler's role, with no announcement made from NSWRL with Origin III still to be played. \ufeff<\/p>\n

\"Blues<\/p>\n

"I think it's a little bit disrespectful to Brad Fittler, he's still the current coach, he hasn't been let go, and he's still got one game to coach," he said. <\/p>\n

"To be talking \ufeffabout it the way that we are is not the right thing to do by Brad Fittler, he's an absolute legend of NSWRL, he's the best player to have ever probably played for NSW.<\/p>\n

"I think for even any discussion to be about it, by people like me or anyone else that wants the job, I don't think is right thing to do.<\/p>\n

"I think we've got wait and see what happens \ufeffafter game three."<\/p>\n
