\ufeffNSW coach Brad Fittler<\/a> has refused to entertain a major discussion on his future after suffering a second straight series defeat.<\/p>\n

After \ufeffwinning his first two State of Origin<\/a> series as Blues coach in 2018 and 2019, Fittler has now lost three of his last four, putting huge pressure on him retain the role going forward.<\/p>\n

Fittler\ufeff could have triggered an extension for next season with a series win this year, but now sees his contract expiring at the end of game three in Sydney.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe 51-year-old shut down questions regarding his future in the aftermath of a disappointing 32-6 loss at the hands of the Maroons on Wednesday night in game two.<\/p>\n

"W\ufeffe've got another game to go, so I'll worry about that and then we'll see what happens with Troddo (NSWRL chair Dave Trodden) and the board. We'll check it out then," he said.<\/p>\n

"I'll just worry about the next game. We've got a couple of weeks and get an opportunity to tidy things up and turn things around and then we can discuss it that."<\/p>\n

Fittler's comments come after he described the prospect of securing two straight wins as his "biggest challenge" prior to NSW's game two shocker.<\/p>\n

The Blues coach was heavily criticised for his decision-making in the game two loss, with his decision to leave Damien Cook in the centres after Tom Trbojevic's injury coming under the microscope.<\/p>\n

Fittler's Blues are hoping to avoid being the first team to be clean swept in an Origin series since \ufeffNSW was swept 3-0 in the 2010 series in the midst of Queensland's eight consecutive series wins.<\/p>\n

Fittler now has a 3-3 record in six Origin series as NSW coach but saw his winning percentage dip below 50 per cent after the game two loss. He now holds an 8-9 record in 17 games as coach.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe 2023 State of Origin series will wrap up on Wednesday, July 12 when the Blues host the maroons at Sydney's Accor Stadium.<\/p>\n
