IndyCar Series <\/a>champion Will Power<\/a> has lashed out at Scott Dixon and Romain Grosjean<\/a> for separate incidents at Road America, offering the latter "a punch in the face".<\/p>\n

Power was the victim of a scary crash in practice when Dixon swerved into the path of the Team Penske driver, leaving him nowhere to go.<\/p>\n

The pair collided, sending the Australian driver into the concrete wall while the Chip Ganassi Racing pilot suffered significant damage to his car too.<\/p>\n

Stan Sport is the only place to watch the 2023 IndyCar Series, featuring Will Power, Scott McLaughlin and Scott Dixon. <\/strong><\/em>All the action streaming ad free, live and on demand<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

Power was none too happy with the New Zealander, shoving him as he vented his frustration.<\/p>\n

It was the last of three incidents for Power in a dramatic practice session.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Andretti Autosport's Grosjean faded into the path of Power and forced him off the road to avoid making contact.<\/p>\n

Shortly thereafter, Power went off the track of his own accord and bounced across the grass.<\/p>\n

After repairs were made to his car, Power struggled in qualifying and failed to make it out of the first leg, meaning he'll start a lowly 21st.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ironically, Dixon will start just behind him in 22nd while Grosjean starts just ahead in 19th.<\/p>\n

Power was left incensed after what was a dramatic day, offering terse words for Dixon, Grosjean, and the circuit management.<\/p>\n

"This track is terrible when you go off," said Power.<\/p>\n

"They do a terrible job here, they need to pick up their game. Whenever you go off you almost break your back every time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"I've done it a couple of times this weekend. They need a kick in the butt for this place.<\/p>\n

\"Power<\/p>\n

"Just pissed at what Dixon did this morning. It's just ruined our whole weekend. Just a terrible move all up.<\/p>\n

"The guys did a great job. We got out there, did everything I could, it's just so hard in this field if you're behind the eight-ball and you're not sure \u2013 where it's new front wing, new floor, you don't know where the aero balance will be and the balance all up.<\/p>\n

"Man, frustrating, because we felt like we were really quick this morning, but yeah\u2026 just disappointed with what happened, really disappointed \u2013 and Grosjean is a piece of crap, if you saw what he did in practice. He needs a punch in the face."<\/p>\n

While Power, Dixon, and Grosjean struggled in qualifying, some of their teammates thrived.<\/p>\n

Andretti Autosport driver Colton Herta will start on pole position alongside McLaren's Pato O'Ward.<\/p>\n

Chip Ganassi Racing's Alex Palou wound up third while Josef Newgarden will start fourth for Team Penske.<\/p>\n

Three-time Supercars champion and Bathurst 1000 winner Scott McLaughlin was only 18th.\u00a0<\/p>\n
